2.5km

Filed under: Canada, Home — K2 in Canada @ 7:27 AM

Last Tuesday I had to go for a swim  by myself as my good friend Krista couldn’t make it. Good thing I didn’t see her email in time – otherwise I would have left my butt on the sofa that night and be lazy for two days in a row.

But I did decide to skip the hot tub afterwards and swim for a bit longer instead. Wanted to do 3km. How hard can that be? I can do 2km (did it once) so should not be a problem, right? I am better at doing things for a long lime that doing them fast afterall… Well, I did 2km and it felt okay. But during lap 41 my right leg started cramping up so bad I had to stop for 5 min and massage it out. Lap 42 – no good, this time cramp in the left ankle. So I switch to breast stroke. Took till lap 44 and I had another cramp – real bad – trying to pass this old guy only to almost drown next to him. Rats!!! I did manage to finish 50o more meters (50 laps) but it took me as long as the last 1000m of my 2k. This week, I’ll be back in the hot tub instead 🙂

  1. Great job on doing 2.5kms! And, this week, you should have said you were looking forward to the hot tub!
