Downwind run in Howe Sound last Saturday, July 26. Since I am not comfortable with my balance this year Jeff finally gave in and agreed to take the double when a whole bunch of the TNR paddlers met to practice for the Canadian Surfski Champs (no we are not doing it). We were met by another big group that came up from Bellingham (USA). It was such a gorgeous day – sun and warm and just enough of a wind to kick up some waves. Even in the double we caught a few nice runs although max speed was only 16.6km/hr. It was a lot of fun and hard work and I was glad to be in the double. Afterwards we went to the Brew Pub in Squamish for a well deserved cold beer and food. A great day!
