Dressed for 10C – daytime high >20C, Oct 18

Back to last weekend Sunday – with all the rain we had during the week before, the water levels had risen a lot at our usual fishing spots. So we decided to try some of the sloughs that usually only get good at high water. I was dressed for standing in the cold water all day. And the day started out windy and grey looking but it warmed up to over 20C. Pretty nice for mid October, not so nice for walking around in waders and lots of fleece underneath. I was sweating buckets :-). On top of that the fishing was really slow. Got into a couple chum but could not land any…what’s going on!? I have yet to catch a salmon this year!
