Last nights ride home from work – again I wished I had my camera with me because as soon as I got home trees and houses blocked the view. The new Moon, Venus and Mars all in a line – a sight that doesn’t happen every night. But then there is the internet and you can count on someone posting it :-).

The other night I was welcomed by three raccoon in front of our house. And one night last weekend two coyote’s cross the road in front of our house.

Last weekend on my late afternoon walk I noticed a tiny little bird sitting in the bushes. Turned out it was an Anna’s Humming Bird – one of the few that stay all winter. But they are hard to spot and definitely don’t sit still much. This past Sunday though they were VERY cooperative little birds. I saw more than one. Spring is in the air.

CBC Canada posted a little video about the different winter experiences in Canada this year. I could not get the embedded video to work but if you click this link “February across Canada” it should come up. Especially interesting for the non-Canadian readers who think Canada is covered in ice and snow 70% of the time. That’s only half true :-).
