We had a great ski at Whistler Olympic Park last weekend, Nov 28. They had a good amount of snow and just over 30km of trails groomed. It was tricky waxing conditions and the grip changed every few minutes it seems. But I was too lazy to switch skis.
It was a beautiful sunny day with temps just below freezing and the snow was just magical – sparkling in the sun. Massif ice crystals were growing alongside the trails in the sunny area, 2-3cm tall. Very, very cool!
On top of that we got to watch a pretty nice sunset on the drive home. Traffic could have been lighter to make it a perfect day.
